At Abinger Common School our mission is to help children to develop into good citizens in a safe, happy and caring environment that will offer them a broad balanced curriculum and nurture their self-esteem as they start their school careers. We have high expectations that the potential of every child will be reached and we will work in partnership with their parents to encourage their physical and emotional development and a love for learning. At Abinger Common School, children learn to respect others, whatever their race, religion and ability and enhance their life skills and sense of community. We help them to develop their imagination and creativity, as they learn to move forward in a modern world with IT and communications skills, as well as phonics-based literacy. We aim to give them the ability to accept change, take risks and rise to challenges as they progress to other schools and on into adult life.
